Poll Broken
-
Recently I put up a PollDaddy widget on the page that averages two hundred hits daily –about local voter registration, for people to “vote” their presidential choice. Tonight when I went to see the results: it won’t open. That’s the first time that’s happened. I don’t know if breakdown is on my side –WP –or PollDaddy. I want to fix it pronto –yesterday 179 landed on the page, but were they able to vote? Advice? Anyone else having the problem? I don’t want to remove it: How to get it un-stuck?
Can you open it? http://davineremedy.wordpress.com/2008/01/17/08-ca-alert-are-you-registered-to-vote-for-sure/
Thanks for any in-put.
What’s with ANOTHER version of the Forum…sheesh…which part of it was broken/needed fixing??? Two versions ago was so much better looking, this one’s just wimpy….

Yes, I can open it. I’m using FF3.0.3 Try logging out, clearing your browser cache and cookies and then logging in again.
Yes, the forums were changed to bring them in line visually with the rest of WP.COM’s new look. We understand the FAQs are in the process of getting a makeover as well.

Thanks for replying Jenn. Cache cleared: poll closed. Any suggestions?
(Did you happen to catch the percentages? lol, I don’t like not knowing…)
It’s good they put back original poster’s date-time, but If they’re going to remake the forum, again, why don’t they do useful changes, like HIGH-contrast color of clicked pages, and every other title line….

Of the 274 votes, Obama by a landslide (82%)
Have you recently blocked javascript in your browser? Maybe try turning off the SNAP previews?
BTW-They actually DID make the unread/read link a higher contrast! LOL

Thanks! Thanks! And: thanks!
SNAP…that hasn’t been a prob. I could fiddle, but if you already know: how to turn off SNAP?
I wouldn’t know how to “block javascript” with a gun to my forehead, lol….and anyway: huge percent of Forum posts are re: js NOT allowed on WP, so I’m not even clear how/why that’s possible/an issue….
–Sky Blue to Aqua “HIGH” contrast??? doesn’t cut it. Blue to rose/red/orange/purple –that’s
‘high’ –easy to pick out. Thanks for replying. I’ll think about this ‘tomorrow,’ off to sleep.

PS Apparently, they also “fixed” the Edit button…pitched it right into the ether…so no changes allowed, now. Not a Good Thing.
