@medinmode: dashboard sidebar > Polls, click “HTML code”, copy the shortcode, paste it where you want the poll to show up.
And please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here – or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know. We usually need that to give a relevant answer.

copy the code of the pool and paste it on a text widget on your blog(after you insert a text widget from appearance-widgets)

My poll isn’t showing on my side bar even though it’s showing in my post; I put the shortcode into a text widget too, it’s shown past polls, but no this particular one. Here’s the url of the post, http://thestateofhappiness.wordpress.com/2009/04/14/otaku-therapy-corner-help-me-make-a-rational-decision-on-what-to-buy/ as you can see the right hand side isn’t showing the poll.

@thestateofhappiness: One particular poll can only show in one place in the blog – in one post, or in one page, or in the sidebar.
