Poll not showing in sidebar text widget

I have followed the instructions found in the forums : Polls > Edit > click “HTML code” > copy shortcode > paste in text widget. but the poll still does not show up. I selected the narrow size. I’m using firefox. I used the shortcode
[polldaddy poll=1945050] I am using ChaoticSoul theme.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you go to my url http://rioshome.wordpress.com the poll shows in my posts because I put it there also but it does not show in the sidebar. If you click a post in the sidebar another page loads and there the poll shows in the sidebar……… I would like the poll to show in the sidebar on the page that first comes up when the url is entered. Is there a way to do that? Thanks

The catch is the “also”: one poll can only show up in one place; so if you want in the sidebar, you must remove it from the post.

Good catch Panos. I hadn’t really thought of the issue with a poll inserted in more than one place on a page, but that makes complete sense.

(@tsp: Thanks; like several other things, I had found that out accidentally when I first expreimented with the poll feature.)

I did a sample poll just so that I would be familiar with the process, but past inserting one into a text widget, I haven’t even been back.
