Poll

Dr mike, invision free is still free, and they just updated their programe about a month ago.
-
Invisionfree is and invision version 1.3 is. That’s what their base code is. (Note the footer of any one of their forums.) Invision is currently up around version 2.1

Yes, you can create free polls through luckypolls.com. All you need to do is to paste their General HTML code to your sidebar widget…check out my site..it works perfectly..
-
-
I also have taken the poll down for a while. Though it works perfectly, it makes the site looks gross.
Now my site is clean and soothing without the poll. -
How about having a poll inbedded in the site through an iframe (is it allowed)?
Matikwidget.com’s polls do not require any further code./antónio

@mouronaco
iframes are not allowed and that can be determined by typing iframes into the search box on the forumI typed that in and this is what i got

ModeratorIframes are removed for security concerns. A quick search http://wordpress.com/forums/search.php?q=iframe shows many threads about it.
Hope this helps,

I feared so, but I remember translating some string (actually I passed that one :) ) where iframes were mentioned and must of got confused.
thanks anyway. -
I, for one, would like to see Polls as an option here. (Although I would also like to see forums are well to be honest.) You can suggest it via Feedback or in the paid options thread on the WP.com blog.
Hope this helps,

I use http://www.luckypolls.com on my blog with no problems, but a proper polls widget with selectable radio buttons would of course be much better.
-
Lucky poll sucks a big time man. It is really weird and it makes you site looks gross. I got rid of it so that I could maintain my site as a clean one.
-
dreamnepal, are you saying my site looks gross??????
C’Est La Vie!
Not much choice though if you want polls on your blog is there.
-
-
Ok, Lucky Poll looks ok on the blog but when I tried to vote on the “sell Ashley Cole” poll, Lucky Polls told me I’d already voted…
Might be something to do with shared IPs though.
-
LOL :D
I just thought after reading about them on here that I’d give ’em a go. They work ok, yeah they don’t look the greatest, but we are somewhat limited on here. I don’t think I’ll use them all the time though.
-
Stevelea,
I did not pinpoint at you but as I see it without even much knowledge about website appreciation, lucky polls look pretty bad on wordpress sites.
Well, it is a free feature and you can change the html template to make it look good (you will be violating its terms and conditions, be careful!)but I would not use it.And moreover, we don’t have storage for such polls. Once you want another poll, you have to get rid of it (unless you want to keep two polls one after another on the main site) and you will lose whatever the people said.
So, you can try it, I tried it and found gross. I would keep my site clean rather than polluting with lucky polls.
-
Dreamnepal, you’re probably right.
I’ve been thinking about removing them shortly anyway. It was interesting and certainly worth a bash.
-
I tried out luckypolls and it works quite nicely.
Solved my need for poll, polls, polling, votes, voting, vote.
(adding words because this thread doesn’t show up in the search results :)

WordPress is ridiculous. Their techies shoud stop being so paranoid. We now how to manage our blogs and we now what is good for them! All other blogs services allow html edition, javascript, ajax, ads etc. Only wordpress keeps with this nonsense of restricting our freedom in our own blogs.
