are there any others beside lucky polls? I dont like the system. Particularly if blog flux polls work or not those are the only good ones I’ve seen.

@lostfan967
I have listed above 6 polls other than those from luckypolls and thesacred path has given you links to blog posts that contain even more. Therefore I am puzzled by what you have posted:are there any others beside lucky polls? Particularly if blog flux polls work or not those are the only good ones I’ve seen.
Yes, there are other polls and you have been provided links to them. We are limited to using those that do not use javascript but html only. None of them are in an elelegant sidebar format. All require a link back to the 3rd party site to register a vote. IMO the nexodyne polls are the best because they do update on your blog.
A more complete listing can be found in this forum thread

If you have found a specific blgflux poll that you wish to use please post the code for it between backticks. The backtick key is one key to the left of the number 1 on the keyboard below the ~.

I just checked blogflux. Here’s the link http://polls.blogflux.com/
How it WorksGetting Blog Flux Polls running is extremely easy. Just follow the simple steps:
1. If you have not already, create an account at Blog Flux
2. Mosey on over to create a poll
3. Get the HTML code (link is given when you create a poll)
4. Paste the HTML onto your site, and see what people are voting for
5. Done! -
Well…….I used nexodyne but it’s still just writing. I’m fine with there polls except they don’t work. You can see on my blog: lostfan967.wordpress.com , maybe everyone else can see the poll but me.

You have not done it properly. I can see code but no image. Please go back to the beginning and go through all the steps again.
-
lostfan – if you are talking about the code you have pasted in that post, the problem is that you are pasting it in the visual editor and not the code editor. Try clicking on the Code tab on the editor and then pasting it there.

I tried every one and none work. Nexodyne and Blog flux are fine except Blog Flux doesn’t show you others votes and Nexodyne, you need to have like an account
-
I can guarantee that they all work. So you must be doing something wrong. The account registrations are free of charge and you can register under your “handle” as opposed to your real name. The votes on all the polls are shown at the 3rd party sites.
-
Your misunderstanding is coming from not listening to what I said in the first place. There are NO elegant polls that fir into text widgets and dynamically udate that can be used on wordpress.com blogs. The only one that will look at all like a widget and that will update is the nexodyne polls. The best you can do with the other polls is to post the link to them and that’s it. People click the link and go to the 3rd party sites to vote in all cases.

It is ashame that WordPress does not allow us to use NICE polls on our site. Hey guys, don’t you think you should keep up with the competition, or at least let those willing to pay, have access to their HTML.
It’s just ridiculous!
