Polls in Widgets

How do I create a widget? I could do it with HTML but I don’t know how. I would like to put a poll in sidebar.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here, or link your nickname to your blog (as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know Before Posting). We can’t help without that.

I’d like some help with this.
The poll shows up in my post, but not in my Text Widget. Can’t use the java code, since the thing doesn’t show up. If I use the short code it doesn’t work either.I’ve tried breaking up the java code, to just the http-address, but “#/¤. Same when I try with the <noscript> part of the code.
It’s really annoying.

@dasninja: Polls are inserted in posts, pages or text widgets by using the poll shortcode – no other way. If you’re talking about the poll you’ve got in your juni 6 post, you must first remove it from the post: one particular poll will only show up in one place in a blog. And you must edit it to select a narrow design suitable for the sidebar.

Thanks a lot, panaghiotisadam – your advice has helped me insert my first poll on my blog!

I have inserted my first poll in my – new – blog and it’s appearing in the sidebar, using the text widget, as I want. Is it possible to insert a link in the poll title to a post which specifically refers to the poll question?

hello again. I’ve never written a link in a text box (I’m used to selecting the ‘link’ button in posts). Please could you tell me how to make the new text link to the actual article.

<a href="URL_OF_POST_HERE">TITLE_HERE</a>Or you can temporarily write the link in a post the way you’re used to, switch to the html editor, copy the code, paste it in the text widget.
