Polylang flags
-
Hi,
I integrated translation of my website using the polylang plugin and Polylang connect for elementor plugin.
My website was made using elementor.
On the top right I should have 3 small flags to enable visitors to chose their language. They show up just right in the page-builder, but on the actual website I get 3 “broken picture”-pictograms.I could set this up to show language names instead of flags… but this would be a workaround and not realy esthetically pleasing.
Anyone an idea why the flags wont show up?
Kind regards

Hi, Felix 👋🏼
Given that both Elementor page builder and Polylang are built by independent authors and are not associated with WordPress.com, they are outside our support scope.
You will have to refer to the plugin authors for more help with using them.
I suggest referring to these links:
Additionally, while Googling for the potential Polylang & Elementor compatibility issues, I noticed that this plugin is mentioned often:
So, you might want to check with Polylang and Elementor support whether it’s actually needed.
Furthermore, I noticed that your theme (Bravada) has an update pending — it’s always recommended to keep everything up to date. The theme update might also resolve the missing icons 😊
You can update it from your Themes, by navigating to Weergave → Thema’s → Mijn thema’s (Appearance → Themes → My Themes).
As an alternative to the missing icons, you can use the emojis, visible on all devices and operating systems. For example:
- 🇬🇧
- 🇩🇪
- 🇯🇵
You can find them here: https://emojipedia.org/flags/
