Polylang plugin on a business plan WP.com site: published pages show up as draft

    Hello, I have a staging version of my silviacasali.it website (wp.com business plan) which I am trying to make multilingual (eng + it) using polylang.
    Two days ago the plugin worked fine. Today I re-synch from my online website to the staging one and the polylang plugin has issues.
    Pages I created and published on the “online” website are synched but do appear as drafts in the staging site as soon as I activate Polylang. Furthermore the italian homepage appears as an infinite scroll of all the pages of the website.
    Do you have any idea how to fix this?
    My website runs on Ovation theme (which is retired, I know…)
