pop up ads covering feature images for stories

I didn’t do anything to add advertisements that cover our stories but they recently showed up. It’s like they are word ads which we insert inside of text but covering featured images and front pages stories. We’ve never placed ads there, or ad material that we don’t upload ourselves, so I’m not sure how they got there. I’d appreciate if someone can help us ASAP as it compromises the quality of our work.
