Pop up boxes for more information
-
I am using the Pilcrow (free) theme in WordPress. I have trimmed down a blog from 25 pages to 6 pages, but would like the reader to have the option to see the detailed text information I have removed from various sections by clicking on a link that brings up a pop up box showing that deleted information. Is there a way for me to do that with my theme for free? Or do I need to pay for a ‘business plan’? Thx. Dom
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The only way that I know of is by using Custom CSS and JavaScript (or there may be a plugin available for that), if it’s not supported natively by the theme. You can add custom CSS, but it requires a business plan to add JS and plugins. If I can think of a better solution, I will re-post.

Hello!
I believe this forum post gives you an option that may work:
Basically, if you edit you post in html, you can use
<span style=”cursor:help;” title=”Write the information you want in the box here”>Write the word(s) you want them to hover over here</span>
What this will do is allow the users to hover over a sentence or word, and it will pull up a small side box with more information. I’m not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but it’s definitely an option.
Let me know if you have any questions on how it works.
