  Hi,
  I’m using a map to tag some areas on a jpg file.
  I would like to have a little popup menu from that map
  Is it possible to do it in wordpress.com ?

  I think pop-ups require javascript which is not allowed on WordPress.COM for security reasons – the only thing I can think of is open the link in a new tab or window of the browser.

  If you include “title” text for the link, that should show up in a yellowish tooltip box when someone mouses over the link in the image.

  If you want something more sophisticated then as auxclass says you would need scripting.

  Are you talking about an image map? It depends exactly what you want to pop up. There’s a few good CSS-only examples on CSSPlay but you’d need to purchase the upgrade and be comfortable coding them to get it to work.
