pop up subscription with mailchimp

  I’m trying to add a pop up subscription to my website but the website is acting up. It worked the first time and then it stopped working. I tried adding it to the theme footer in appareance>editor and i tried adding the code to the sidebar widget for popup mailchimp subscription. Nothing is working
