  If I write a popular post about (1) “Joe,” and then I write a new post titled (2) ” Joe’s greatest hits,” which post’s gonna get the traffic? Is it best to somehow leave Joe out of the second title althogether? or just stop worrying about this stuff altogether? TIA

  Go ahead and do another “Joe” post, with a “Joe Part 2” kind of title, and in the new one provide a link to the earlier one. And then go back to the earlier post and at the end, add a link to the new one. A reader who finds one will then have easy access to the other. If it’s a series, in each one provide a link to the next. If the “Joe” material is wildly popular, put links to all of them in a text widget. Make it easy for your readers to find your stuff.

  Glad to help. Remember, you already know what you think Your blog is for your readers. Do whatever will be best for them. Traffic will be what it will be. You really can’t control that.
