Porfolio within a portfolio

  This other forum thread explains Porfolios feature in any of the WordPress.com themes.

  So can one have a portfolio embedded in a portfolio. The way how I see portfolio… it’s like a image clickable to lead one to a whole page of images with text. Sounds as if one should be able to do the portfolio within portfolio structure.

  You can add an image gallery within a portfolio project. I’m quite not sure that’s what you have in mind, but you might want to try it and see if that suits your needs.

  You also can learn more how to use portfolios and the portfolio shortcode and see if one of the techniques there would do what you intend.

  If you’re looking for something else, could you explain in a bit more detail what you’re trying to do? Thanks.

  Justjennifer: Thanks so much..on behalf of many bloggers here!! I’m sure Porfolio has some cool stuff. I wasn’t even aware of the portfolio shortcode. Um…I still don’t get it when using this particular shortcode.

  (I know about shortcodes since I’ve used it elsewhere.)

  maidiebike – In an nutshell, the portfolio shortcode allows you to display portfolio projects on any page, in any theme. By adding different attributes to the shortcode – such as tags, categories, columns – you can display the portfolio projects in different ways.

  For example, let’s say you’re an artist and you’ve assigned categories like paintings, photographs, and sculpture to each portfolio project. You could then use a shortcode to display just paintings on one page in a 4-column grid.
