Porn ads appearing
-
Of late, porn videos are appearing as advertisements at the end of my blog posts, causing a lot of embarrassment to me and my readers. The ads lead to sites like [nsfw links removed]. I know that ads are inevitable on a free WordPress blog, but isn’t there a way to restrict these obscene ads? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That should not be happening. Once Support re-opens, contact them via your dashboard Help button. In the meantime, you can report those ads to Google. In each of them, there should be a small “ads by Google” and click on that. Then report the ads as porn. Google takes their relationship with WordPress.com seriously, and they should get that fixed ASAP.

Appreciate your reply. But i don’t see the “ads by Google” link next to the ad. I wish i had a way to post the screenshot of the ad.

When not logged in, on the latest post I’m seeing a flashing “Green Card” clickthough ad from harrenmedianetwork, not Google.

Ah, then that’s a problem. A couple of people have mentioned unusual ads, and staff did say they would try out other kinds of ad platforms, but I thought those would only be on the Ad Control network. Yes, this needs to get kicked upstairs to staff.

I have this problem too: trashy-looking video ads for either porn or household cleaning or flashing green-buttoned competitions. I saved a few screenshots. After that series, there was a series of ads for wordpress.com-hosted blogs. Not so trashy looking but also irritating and NOT discreet as I had understood the ads were meant to be. Horrible.

PS Here’s the source code for one of the ads:

We got in touch with the advertiser in question, and this shouldn’t be happening any more.
