pornographic ads on my site!
-
When I come to my wordpress page, it is smeared with ads, dirty ones as well, how did this happen? I don’t want anyone going to my site and seeing this and I can’t seem to get rid of them?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Debby, I do not see any advertisements, pornographic or otherwise, when I view your site.
I’d run a virus scan on your computer to make sure you’re not having an issue there.

All WordPress.com placed ads are easy to identify as this link accompanies them http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/
Any others are coming from a browser extension or toolbar or adware that was included in a download. These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads: http://www.littletechiethings.com/2012/06/how-to-remove-ads-not-by-this-site.html http://blog.wikimedia.org/2012/05/14/ads-on-wikipedia-your-computer-infected-malware/ http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/09/14/bloggers-beware-of-adware/

Thanks for responding, but yes, there are ads on my header and sidebar for fat, testosterone and a chat lady for phone sex. I have been on phone with Mcafee my anti virus and have run malwarebytes, to no avail. This is not inviting to readers. How can I see them and not Andrew? I need to clean these off as I have not downloaded anything to my site in weeks and these appeared last night?

You can see them because they are on your browser, not on your blog. We can’t see them because our browsers are not infected. Follow the instructions in the links TT gave you. Those are not WordPress ads.
You can see multiple other threads in the forum on the same issue, and it is ALWAYS a browser add-on that is doing it. They won’t necessarily show up on a virus scan, either.

Thanks so much all of you, especially Timethief for the websites. It was adobe activeX 11, I don’t even know how it got there. The ads running were from coupondropdown but that wasn’t in my browser, weirdly enough. Thanks again all.
