Port Theme: Add Contact Form Text Issue

Hello,
Thank you, the Port Theme is lovely. However, the “add contact form” on the new post page will display the written text in white font color only. For example, this email form I’m currently using allows me to see the text I am typing right now, showing up as black. On my page, the contact boxes only use white font, so if anyone wants to write me a message, they cannot see what they are typing. Is there any way this can be fixed? I appreciate any help you can offer.

Your site is marked as “private” so we volunteers cannot examine it. I’ve marked this thread “modlook” so staff can take a look at what is going on with your contact form. Do you have custom design upgrade? At any rate, please subscribe to this topic so you will be notified when there is a response to your question.

Thank you. I did sort it out. I created a separate contact page. If it displays on my home page it is in white text, so I simply made a new page for contact specifically and it works better.

Glad you found a workaround.
I thought I’d still investigate the issue and was able to reproduce the white form text when a dark background image is placed in the “Home Content Area” section of the Customizer. I’ll report this bug to the theme developer so they can get it fixed – thanks for reporting it.

Oh great! Thank you very much. I didn’t realize that was another forum to use. I had messaged them directly and they had sent me to that one but this is the one I found. All the same, everyone has found my inquiry and helped me out and I am very thankful. The port theme is lovely and the developer is very helpful, as are you. Happy Holidays!

Aw, that is so kind of you to say on all counts.
I’ve reported the contact-form glitch to the Port developer and we’ll keep you posted here when it’s been fixed, in case you’d like to move your form back to the homepage.
