portfolio

Hey, I’m using the mina olen theme and the portfolio feature. All my project pages (under portfolio) has the header image from the front page. But on one page wordpress for some reason, uses the featured image form that project: http://cluecompany.no/portfolio/29/
Why is this? I thought it might be because the format is set to “video”, but I have another project where that box is ticked where the page looks the same as the others; with the header image from the front page.
But I quite like having the header image on this portfolio page with an image from the project (and not the front page). But how do I turn that function on for the other portfolio pages? And how do I move the image into place/crop it so that it fits into the header format?
Now it looks very stange because it’s very zoomed in.

I believe this is being caused by the featured image size. Looking at that particular post, the featured image is quite large (4k x 4k). The other portfolio projects seem to have smaller images (400 x 400 or similar). In order for the featured image to be shown in the header, it will need to be 1920 x 379 or larger.

Can you try resizing some of your featured images to that size?

Regarding changing the cropping function of the header area, that would require some CSS magic. It can likely be done, but it might be easier just to resize your images to 1920 x 379 or crop them so they look great in that size. You can crop directly through WordPress.com as explained here:

If you would like to go the CSS route, could you post in the CSS Customizations forum here?

We have some gurus in there that will be able to help you out!
