    Hello, I have a problem with my new website and I hope you can help me. I trying to make a static web with my portfolio page and that’s something I cant handle with. Everytime I adding a new page tittled ‘portfolio’, automatically customizer add a number ‘2’ at the website link: http://www.myname.wordpress.com/portfolio-2 . So I can add my portfolio pictures only at http://www.myname.wordpress.com/portfolio . I have no idea what to do. Thank you in advance.

    The portfolio is a different content type than a page, and there is only one per site. However, the URL of the portfolio has the same appearance as a page, so it can easily be confused with a page. On a portfolio theme such as Blask, if you try to create a page with the slug “portfolio,” WordPress.com will always append a number after the word, beginning with “-2.”

    However, portfolio shortcode allows one to display a selected portion of the portfolio, for example only those projects with certain project tags or project types assigned to them.

    Portfolio shortcode may be inserted in static pages, posts, and text widgets.

    Hi. The problem is that I just want to make a portfolio on the homepage. The issue appears when I try to add a portfolio to a static front page. If you are saying that portfolio is added by default, can you tell me how to add a portfolio page as homepage? I just want my page to look same as example as I choose.
    I’m a rookie :)

    Hi,

    On some themes there are a variety of page template options for each static page. The Blask theme has an optional Portfolio Page Template, which may be assigned to a static front page. See the Blask theme guide for instructions on setting up the site with a static front page with the Portfolio Page Template assigned.
