Portfolio in Harmonic Theme

  Hi: I really love this new Harmonic theme, and am trying it out with my test blog to work out the kinks. I am sure that it is because I am not so tech savvy that I have had problems with it, and following the demo has helped a lot. I am stuck though with the portfolio idea–this is new to me as I have never used a portfolio project before. I have tried it as a page template, and also as a new project. Neither of my portfolio pages shows up in my scrolling front page. Have I missed something?
  Thank you–this is a beautiful theme and I am really hoping to get it to work for me. (test blog is on private setting for now while I work this out)

  I might have just figured it out. I went back and checked both portfolios and found that I had not assigned a featured image to each portfolio group. Doing that made the difference–it now shows up in my scrolling front window. Thank you again for this beautiful theme!

  Hello! I also chose themes based on using a portfolio. I want my projects to show up in that ‘patchwork’ pattern right on the front page. I tried this first with the Espied theme but it didn’t seem like the Portfolio page communicated with the front page in any way. I changed to Illustratr but am facing the same problem. I do have featured images for each project… Grateful for help!

  nordiclight – both Espied and Illustratr explain how to set the portfolio as your front page in their theme showcase pages:

  Scroll down to the section titled Portfolio Page Template and follow the instructions there.
