Portfolio Item Pushing A Soft 404

    Hey,

    I recently got a soft 404 message from google search console for the page:

    https://twotalltravellers.com/portfolio-item/

    I have never used portfolio in WordPress and my portfolio is empty so I cannot delete the page in order to push a normal 404.

    Any help would be appreciated and if there’s anything else you need please ask.

    Hi Kev,

    You’re posting in the forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We’re not the same thing as the open source WordPress software you’re using for your site, and we don’t have any control over how your site works.

    The portfolio content type is not included in WordPress by default, which means you’re using a plugin to add that content type. If you’re not using the portfolio content type at all, then removing that plugin, or disabling the portfolio feature in the case of a multi-feature plugin, should do the trick.

    If that doesn’t help, I recommend you contact support for that particular plugin directly, as they’ll best be able to advise in this case.
