Portfolio item to page

  Hi, I’ve had a wordpress site that has been developed. The previous developer created lots of pages as portfolio items, which I think probably isn’t the best thing. Is it possible to copy a portfolio item and turn it into a page so I don’t have to replicate and rebuild a page? Also the problem I’m having with some of the portfolio items I’ve copied is that’s they are not loading because of slow script. Can anyone help advocate how to address these issues please.
