Portfolio not showing

  Hi there

  For some reason the portfolio option is not showing. I have tried using the Astra theme and the Hestia theme.

  When I go to ‘Writing Settings’ what I get is:

  Default Post Category: Uncategorized
  Default Post Format: Standard

  Please advice!

  Are you using WordPress.com free plan or in a self-hosted site using Astra/Hestia theme?

  However, to get started with the Portfolios on wp.com, you can follow this documentation – https://wordpress.com/support/portfolios/. You can also check this documentation to know about portfolio CPTs and shortcode to render it on a page- https://jetpack.com/support/custom-content-types/.

  Well, I installed Jetpack, went to Jetpack → Settings → Writing in the Dashboard and toggled on the Portfolio option under Custom Content Types.

  And it worked.

  Strange that a wordpress function would not work without Jetpack, but there you have it.
