So I cannot set the portfolio projects to the frontpage. Can someone help me please? How can I set the portfolio to the frontpage if the “portfolio page” is not there?

Hi there, you need to create a new page to use as your home page and set that page to the Portfolio Project page template under Page Attributes in the page editor and publish it. Then go to Customize > Static Front Page and set the page you published for your home page as your Static Front Page. If you are going to also do posts, you will have to create a “blog” page (any name you want) and set it as the “posts” page. For more information, see our support page on Static Front Pages.

Thanks thesacredpath, but I’ve already tried that. The problem is that when I go to Page Attributes in the “home page” I’ve created I don’t have the option of “Portfolio Project”. So I don’t know what else I can do to have this attributes already set for the blog.
Thanks again!

Ah, now I see what is going on. You have named that page Portfolio, which is sort of a reserved name for the Portfolio page that the theme and Jetpack software automatically generates, and that is confusing the software. Create a new page, title it home or front or something like that, and then set the Portfolio Page Template and set it as your Static Front Page in the Customizer.
Also, you do not need the portfolio shortcode in the page content area, you can either enter a short description if you want to say something on that page, or you can leave it blank.
