Portfolio Page Templates – is there a way to reuse and change images in it?

I am using Blask, and would like the look of the Portfolio Page Template for other pages in my portfolio, which is all going to be images, minimal text, no blogs or dudads. Unfortunately, it doesn’t allow you to make copies to reuse for other pages.

Im trying to find a way to reuse the Portfolio Page Template, but change the images for various pages. Is there anyway of doing that?

btw, I have added the “Image Display” widget to some pages, that almost emulate the look of the Blask Portfolio Page Template, though it doesn’t let you make it bigger, and it doesn’t seem to have a ‘vertical alignment’ component, or does it?

  • Hi there!

The widgets can be only added to the widget area, like a sidebar or a footer so you won’t be able to customize them much.

Also, you wouldn’t be able to reproduce the exact look of the portfolio page but you can add columns to your site and add images (or cover blocks) with links to each column. You can also add a gallery and add a link to a page/post to each of the images.

Here you will find some more information about the blocks I mentioned:

    I hope that helps :)

    HI Fresatomica,

Thanks so much for responding. I checked out all the links you sent.

I did a lot of sampling, and trial and error, cause the layout pretty much stays within a set number of pixels, no matter how many columns or items going across horizontally. The more images you load, the more smaller the get going across.

The ‘Gallery’ image display allows you to spread images out horizontally, like the Columns, though unfortunately, when you add a lot of images, the program of the gallery makes the images line up in “its” order, not the order you want, and lines them up in a ‘unified’ and ‘organized’ block display, instead of the more masonry look.

Though, after a lot of experimentation with the “columns” function, the most real estate for images would be 3- columns/layout grid, or 4 for smaller, are sufficient for a proper Gallery image display. It can group images, and it looks the most like the Blask Portfolio page template / Masonry display.

The only problem now with the ‘gallery’ function, is that its not ‘cropping’ the images very well here and there, and the ‘crop’ button is “ON”. If there’s no way of fixing it, I’ll just adjust my images and play with it to make sure it doesn’t do it.

Thanks so much for all your help.
