Portfolio Projects Excerpt

Hi, I’m using the newly enabled portfolio shortcode, though my theme does not support them. I emailed the theme creators, Organic Themes, and they said the would not be making support for this backwards compatible for their older themes. Fortunately, was able to make the page responsive on my own and add further customization with css. My ideas: First, it should be a requirement that all premium theme creators have to continually update the theme to support newly released WordPress.com features. That’s just good business. Second, the new portfolio feature is great, but , please add the ability for manual excerpts so we can style them to our our liking.
