Portfolio questions

  I purchased and activated Portfolio and thought I would see the same format that was presented in the example. I can’t seem to get an image to spread across the page in the large size that they depict. I’m also trying to set up the lower areas so it has 3 columns, also as depicted.

  Not sure why I can’t do this… do I have to purchase an add’l customization feature for $30? Or is this a code thing?
  I thought if I activated it, I thought it would have the template or format built right in, and I’d drop in my photos… Help, I don’t know code or WordPress very well!
