  How do I add additional settings under portfolio? Its not giving me the option to change the image type to slideshow since the portfolio options tab does show up.

  Hi,

  As far as I know, there has never been a general slideshow option for the display of portfolio projects on a WordPress.com site. The only exceptions that I’m aware of are the featured content sliders available on some themes that in some cases allow portfolio projects to be included among the featured content items.

  Slideshow options include the following:

  1. Slideshow Block, in the Block Editor
  2. Slideshow option in a Classic Editor gallery — See the “Adding a Gallery or Slideshow” section of page 2 of the Gallery Block support page.

  So portfolio settings are not supposed to include a slideshow option.
