Portfolio Shows Sample Pictures, Not My Projects
-
I’m working with the portfolio feature for the first time, but cannot figure out how to get my portfolio projects to show on my portfolio page. I am using a portfolio-supported theme, I created two projects in the portfolio tab, and I set a page with a portfolio theme in hope that when I create something under ‘Portfolio’ in WordPress, it would automatically show on that page. Instead, my portfolio projects are not able to be seen on my portfolio page, it only shows the default images and text from creating a portfolio page. I even tried to manually change the images and link them to my projects, but I couldn’t access my media library, and the link button did something strange. Am I missing something? How do I make a portfolio page on my website so that it only shows my projects and automatically shows them when I create a new one in the portfolio tab of WordPress?

Hi, I am having the same problem but when I go to the menu you showed (I’m guessing it would be on the main portfolio page), “Template” isn’t displayed there. The only option under that tab that I have is “Order.” Is there something hidden that I need to enable or is it maybe a matter of plan limitations? Thx

@anthbrigal4772, the Hever theme you’re using on this site doesn’t have a portfolio page template. Only certain themes support this particular feature:
https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/feature:portfolio/
You can still use portfolios on Hever, but you’ll need to use the default portfolio archive page, or else the portfolio shortcode, to display your projects on a page:
