Portfolio theme not appearing?

  Hi guys

  I don’t seem to have the portfolio option on my dashboard? I couldn’t find the option to activate it from the settings>writing page but I read that it should appear automatically in the illustratr theme anyway?

  Not sure why the option isn’t available to me. I recently wiped all content and plugins from WordPress, wanting to start fresh with my portfolio page. I only have 2 plugins, jetpack and an under construction splash page, so I don’t really know what could be causing a problem?

  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated,

  Nevermind, I needed to activate Jetpack!

  I am having the same problem, except that the portfolio option DOES appear in my sidebar and the ENABLED box is checked. I have uploaded and published projects in the portfolio section, however, when I ‘view’ my site my projects are nowhere to be found. If I enter the entire URL with portfolio at the end, it takes me to the portfolio page. Other than that, there is no way for someone to view my work if they only enter my the URL WITHOUT adding /portfolio to the end of it.

  What am I doing wrong????

  Are you using jetpack?
