Portrait Image Shape for Blog Posts Degrading Quality
-
I uploaded an image that is 1500 x 2400 as a featured image for a blog post.

I set the Blog Posts block to 3 columns in a grid view. When I have the featured image set to Uncropped, the image is very clear. You can see the photo dimension is 209.2 x 334.71.

If I change the featured image to Portrait Image Shape, the quality has degraded. The dimensions are 209.2 x 278.93, which is well within the range of the original image I uploaded.

Here is a side-by-side comparison. You can see the left side is not as clear as the right side.

Have I been staring at this for too long and missing something obvious? The person who will be taking over this website when I’m done needs it to be as easy as possible; I don’t want to teach her how to pre-crop and pre-size before uploading.
