Position of ads

I understand that wordpress.com runs ads on free sites but I’m wondering if the position of these ads can be controlled.

If you view fetefransaskoise.wordpress.com and hover over the Pike Lake poster in the middle of the page – and then scroll up – the poster scrolls out of view because there are ads below it.

This is not a good place for ads.

Can they be moved somewhere else?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    hi there,

It’s not possible to do so. the only way out here is a plan upgrade or you can try changing page layout/themes.

you will need to Upgrade from a free plan to the paid plan which will enable you to remove WordPress.com generated adverts.
    To upgrade: https://wordpress.com/plans
    https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Ads on WordPress.com

    Thanks!

  • Hi there,

As @vinitdhake already said, you cannot control the ad placement on free WordPress.com sites. However, since the ad placement is affecting your site’s functionality I went ahead and disabled it.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.
