Positioning an Element on My Page
-
My blog at http://www.healthunderthemiamisun.com utilizes a showcase slider and a primary sidebar. The content, including slider, overlaps the sidebar. I’ve tried using relative positioning, margins, and padding to shift the content away from the sidebar, but no luck so far. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

The oxygen theme used here at WordPress.com has changes from the original and it looks like you are using the original version from the theme author.
The easiest fix would be to reduce the width of .featured-wrapper and .content-wrap to something like 73.7872%. That seems to work and give adequate whitespace between the content and left sidebar.
If you downloaded from the theme author, or from WordPress.org, and you need further assistance, I would suggest contacting the original theme author, or posting for assistance in the WordPress.org Oxygen theme forum.
