Positioning images on posts

When I use photos on posts, I sometimes use tables to force images to appear on the same line or new line regardless of the viewer’s display width. Normally this works, but there is often a strange effect on the last photo, in that its alignment is slightly offset. You can see that effect in this example:

Turns and drops at Pacific Beach

No matter how wide the browser window is, that photo in the bottom right is slightly misaligned to the right.

    Any ideas why this happens?

Because in the example you link to you’ve set the top right image to alignleft and the bottom right image to alignright: depending on the effect you want, they could be either left or right aligned, mut they must both be the same.

How embarassing, I thought I’d checked that. Thanks for catching it!

    You’re welcome.

(To make you feel less embarrased, kudos for using tables: without tables it’s practically impossible to arrange multiple images satisfactorily in a flexible-width theme.)
