Positioning photos side by side
-
I want to position 2 photos side by side in a blog post, between paragraphs. They look fine when I’m creating the post, but won’t stay side by side when I preview. How do I code them to stay side by side?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Looking at the blog post https://lotuscove.wordpress.com/2019/01/21/basket-project-2018-19/ it looks like you were able to get them side by side. Is that correct @jayefish or were you still needing help?

Problem is I don’t know how I did it, just kept fooling around until it looked right. Is there a place where it tells how to do it on one try?

From looking at the code end, it looks like you added 2 images, shrank them down to the proper size and then selected Align Left on one and Align Right on one.
See this: https://gogutenberg.com/blocks/image/ with an image showing what the image alignment options look like

Well, that’s good to know, although I’d never heard of Gutenberg in relationship to WordPress. The problem is keeping text from running down between the photos. Thanks for the help, Phil.

Sure thing @jayefish – I am assuming you are using Gutenberg, but if you are not, it is still a similar process to align photos. You may look into creating a 2 column, 1 row table with no borders to put the images in if that helps.
or make sure you completely finish text, then do the images and then start more text in the next block.
Hope it helps you find the way that works best for you.
