Possible bug in new Block editor when selecting images.
-
I believe that there may be a bug in the new editor. I am having problems selecting images from my image library to be the featured image. It only works about 50% of the time.

Hi there, does this only happen when you try to add a featured image or does it also happen when you try to insert an image in your post or page as well?
Let us know your OS and browser set up. Thanks.

I’m on Windows10, and Firefox.
The original fault (not putting the selected image up as the Featured Image) is apparently random.
Ive just been playing with it a bit with various images in my libary. Each time in a new tab.
I’m clicking on the ‘Set featured Image’ button which then brings up my media library. I select an image and then click on insert. Nothing happens
It happens with both verse and classic block and if I haven’t selected a block at all — I was wondering if it was a block thing…..
In the new editor the only way I know to insert an image is via the image block and that inserted the image the first few times, but then did not.
If I cannot select a featured image, but then manage to insert an image into the blog, I can then repeat the actions to set a featured image and it works.
If I cannot select a featured image, but find another in my media library which I can make as the featured image, I can then repeat the actions to set a featured image on the image that didn’t work and it works.
It happens to images than have been recently uploaded and to ones I uploaded several years ago.
Over to you! :)

Thanks — I’ve looked at the converstion on Github, Firefox only it seems. If it really really bugs me I may have to resort to Edge.
