Possible error in logo insertion for Independent Publisher 2 theme

  I just changed the theme of genemods.wordpress.com to Independent Publisher 2. I tried to add in the logo for GeneMods using the site identity tab; however, rather than replacing the placeholder logo, the GeneMods logo now appears on top of the placeholder logo. I’ve tried to fix/delete the placeholder logo without success. Is there any way to delete the placeholder so that only the GeneMods logo is visible?

  What is the website that you’re referring to? The site https://larkinteam.wordpress.com/ has the Gateway theme applied.

  the GeneMods logo now appears on top of the placeholder logo. I’ve tried to fix/delete the placeholder logo without success.

  The “placeholder logo” that you refer to is special feature on the Independent Publisher 2 theme called the Header Gravatar. It may be removed by deleting your email address at Customize > Theme Options > Gravatar Header, then clicking the Save & Publish button.

  Hey I’m also running into the problem of my gravatar image not showing up in the header even though I’ve keyed in my gravatar email.

  My gravatar bio and photo in the posts are showing up fine though. It’s been around a day and a half – does it usually take longer than that for the header gravatar to be displayed?

  Correction:

  It may be removed by deleting your email address at Customize > Theme Options > Header Gravatar, then clicking the Save & Publish button.

  Are you referring to a WordPress.com site? If so, what is the address of the site? Does it have the Independent Publisher 2 theme applied?

  No, the header gravatar should appear virtually instantaneously. Though if you change the gravatar image it could take a while for it change, and might even possibly get stuck on the previous gravatar image. Have you recently changed the gravatar?
