Possible migration or re-direct?

Hello! I am looking to possibly delete one site (that I’m no longer active on) and hopefully migrate content and/or followers over to a ‘new’ site that I am active on.
Is it possible to migrate content? Or add a sort of ‘we’ve moved’ message to this site to direct followers to follow the active one and not this one before it’s deleted?

If you want to leave a .wordpress.COM hosted blog you have been made an official user of by way of invitation you can use the leave a blog option. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#leave-a-blog

Did you register that site under your username account?
To delete a WordPress.COM hosted blog you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to navigate to Dashboard > Tools > Delete Site. The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at both support links there and moving subscribers from one site to another sounds like what I’m trying to do. Both are wordpress.com sites with the same email login. The link there “moving a blog/moving your subscribers” says “If you want to move your site’s subscribers and followers over to another WordPress.com site that you own, you can contact us, and we’ll take care of it in a jiffy.” but the contact us link leads to another forum question post.
If I just straight up delete the inactive site, it won’t effect the integrity of the newer one that I am active on right?

Hi supernova, thanks for your assistance!
Looking to keep dontfearthelongroad.wordpress.com and to migrate any followers or content from mlindeman01.wordpress.com over (if that’s possible, can the mlindeman01 be deleted without disrupting the dontfearthelongroad one? I access both with the same email login.

OK, no problem. You’ll migrate content by exporting and importing (available under My Site > Settings).
Once you’ve done that, let us know and we can help you move followers, and stats if needed.
Also, you may want to use a Site Redirect to send all links from the old site to the new one:

Ok, thanks! That didn’t work, after exporting and trying to import it gives the warning “This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number”
How about if I just want to scrap it and delete the mlindeman01 one instead of re-directing or trying to mirgrate will it effect the integrity or log in or function of the dontfearthelongroad one?

@mlindeman01 deleting it won’t affect your ability to log in, but you will lose any SEO you had on the old site.
If you received a .zip file when exporting, please unzip and import the individual files one at a time.
