Possible Stats Bug

Three different times, I’ve gone into my stats and seen X visitors and Y views, Y>X. For example 1 visitor 3 views. Later, in the same day, I’ll come back to see Z visitors and Z views. For example, 7 visitors and 7 views. I’m afraid I’m getting incorrect or incomplete data since it’s suggesting that at one point, at least one visitor viewed multiple pages, and then later in the day, no visitors viewed more than one page.
I would really appreciate help figuring out how to make sure I’m getting correct real time data as we’re in the process of moving our blog to WordPress and still trying to figure everything out. Thank you,

No bug – the page views are very quick to be counted
The visitor count takes a while for the visitor count software to determine if a visit is a new visit – can take 2 or 3 hours for the visitor count to be updated
I always find the 1 visitor – 10 page views – 7 countries when the stats reset at midnight to be amusing myself
