Possible to add multiple images simultaneously?

Been trying to figure out if it’s possible to add more than one image from media library or whatever screen that is without having the dang thing close.
Here’s what’s happening:
1) upload many images at once (works like a charm)
2) select a picture, configure it, then click “insert into post”
3) picture is inserted into my post, **but now i have to go back to the media library to add the other pictures i uploaded.**I would like to simply insert pictures into the post in bulk without having to reopen that dang screen each time (which takes a fair amount of time to load). There’s got to be a way to do this, right? I hope? I don’t want to use the gallery because that’s not how I want the post laid out. Generally i have a picture, paragraph or two of text, some more pics, more text, etc. It would be a lot more time efficient to have all the pics already in the post and then just typing in between them.
Because I can only insert one picture per visit to the media library, I even have to change my upload habits — if i upload more than 10 images at a time, I then have to waste additional time clicking on page 2 (or 3 or 4 etc) of the media library before i can get to the picture i want to insert. So not only am I burdened with the multiple trips to the media library, I also have to divide my upload into 10 file chunks.
I pray someone will reply and tell me how I stupidly missed the button that does what I want… otherwise, please consider this a feature request and I implore someone to implement it m(_ _)m

Feature requests are most effective if sent via your Dashboard support button. Bulk functions are not common on WP.com, to say the least.
I find it saves time overall to upload and insert each image one at a time. It’s just a couple of steps faster.
