Possible to expedite nameserver switch?

    Hi,

    We originally registered our domain with WordPress but it rapidly became evident we needed a host with more features, and we’ve been trying to switch our name servers over to Namecheap’s since Thursday as a result.

    I understand that there is some kind of backlog holding these changes up, since this isn’t a normal propagation delay and the name server change keeps reverting in My Domain settings. I’m aware of the sticky post and that you’re looking into it.

    However, this is extremely bad timing for us. We need our domain to be working by Monday–Wednesday at the absolute latest. Our site hosts a petition to free our colleague currently detained by Tajik security services since June 16, and is a hub for information for media and relief organizations interested in his case. Our friend’s safety depends directly on increasing media exposure and public awareness.

    We are not losing money with this domain issue, but we are losing extremely precious time. I am very disappointed with the time WordPress has taken to correct this issue and the lack of clear communication as to when issues will be resolved. If there is any way at all for you to expedite our name server switch, we would be extremely thankful.

    I understand your urgency, but this issue is with our domain registrar and we are trying to resolve it as soon as possible. Until that happens, I’m afraid our hands are tied.
