Possible to insert “Time” on Home page?
-
Can anyone advise me, please?
I am on WordPress.com, using MistyLook theme. Is is possible to show the time automatically on the Home page … e.g. at the top? Maybe via some kind of widget?
I would like my visitors, when they arrive at the Home page, to see something like:
Central European Time: 14.37
or
Time in Copenhagen: 14.37(I know the code is “H.i” but where would I put that, I wonder?

I’m sorry there is no such widget that I know of. Some themes are coded to include timestamps and some are not. Here’s a partial list https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=1703&page&replies=15

This is just a brief additional note. Clocks for blogs are needs be dynamic and that means they are written in javascript and we cannot use them here. However, there some are weather stickers that do have the date and time that may work on your blog. You could also place a link in a text widget to a site with date and time information and place it in a text widget at the top of your sidebar.

Thank you, TimeThief
As someone suggests on your “en.forums.wordpress.com/…” link, it would be nice to have a widget that did the time trick.

A widget would be useful to some users who do not have themes that already display timestamps like your self. If you wish to request that staff consider this as a new feature then use the “support” button on the top right hand corner of any admin side blog page to contact them during staff hours, after the holidays. Monday-Friday 8AM – 4 PM, Pacific time.

Alternatively, you may be able to add the same into your theme with a css editing upgrade but, I’m not certain of this. http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/10/18/about-the-custom-css-upgrade/

You’re welcome and the very best wishes of the season to you. :)
P.S. The option for marking this thread “resolved” is in your original post.
