Possible to rename blog domain to an inactive site that belongs to some1 else?

  as some inactive blogs have been, well, inactive for a few years, will this inactive site be deleted?
  and will another person be able to take the domain of that inactive site?

  The short answer is no – and deleted names are never recycled so if the other person deleted the site you still could not get it – you only chance is to leave a comment to the effect that you would like the name on the site if there is a comment field somewhere and hope they read their comments.

  Your other option is to register a regular .COM etc name and map it to an site here – about $ 17– a year if I remember correctly

  or find a name that is close to what you want – maybe off by one letter of add a letter
