Possible to Retrieve Lost Work in WordPress

    Hi,

I am looking for some urgent assistance.

I set up a new wordpress blog, http://www.thefiskreport.com

I have been assigned to keep this up-to-date for a large publishing company.

It was fine, I had chosen a theme, done some work on this, and posted up 2 pages.

Then yesterday, for no reason, I could not access the site.

I also could not log-in to the WordPress dashboard.

My hosting company advised it was a problem at their end.

Finally, today, the site is back online again, but inexplicably, it is a version done prior to some reason updates I did myself on WordPress.

This includes a whole page that is missing, which foolishly, I typed straight into WordPress, and do not have a back-up copy.

How can all this work, plus editing I did to the theme, have just vanished? It’s as if my WordPress work has gone back in time. I can’t account for it, and I don’t see how the hosting company could have done this.

Any urgent help greatly appreciated. Will it be possible to retrieve lost work?

    Nick

thefiskreport.com is hosted by HostDime. This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features and run different versions of some themes with the same names http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
