Possible to to add copyright with automatic year?

    Is it possible to add a “copyright 2017 by nwmoh” to the footer area where “2017” is automatically generated current year?

    My plan (free and/or personal) does not include plug-in. I can only do this with a widget in footer area.

    I am afraid this will not be possible to do this automatically. You might need plugins to do this automatically, but that’s not possible unless you are on WordPress.com Business plans.

    Ask you are aware of WordPress.com widgets, that’s the only possible way to go about this. This help article from WordPress.com https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/ should help you through adding a widget to your WordPress.com site.

    You can manually type the text “Copyright 2017 by nwmoh”, but I am afraid you cannot change the year automatically every year. You will have to edit it yourself.
