Possible unauthorized access. Changed password; what else can be done?
-
WordPress says, “Your own visits to your blog (for logged-in users of public blogs only)” are not counted. Therefore, I might have a problem with unauthorized access.
Recently, someone accessed a page that is not yet displayed on my site. Changed password immediately. I would like to find out who got into this website.
Details: looked here: http://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/ while checking stats, and noticed that “The Shrine on Bowdoin Street from 1883 – 1958, Chapter II” under “Our History” (http://floundah2013.wordpress.com/our-history/the-shrine-on-bowdoin-street-from-1883-1958-chapter-ii/) had been looked at. “Our History” and all of its submenus are not yet on the menu bar.
Who got into my site? Changed password, but I would like to stop this from happening again.
The site is http://floundah2013.wordpress.com/.
Thanks,
Michelle Wright

They may not be on the menu, but the page has been published. That means that when you clicked publish, a notification was sent to all the major search engines, so they know about the post, and if they do, then anyone searching for such material will also be able to find and see it.
If you don’t want anyone looking at a post or page, don’t publish it until you do.

You can open the page in the editor and set it back to draft if you are not ready for people to see it.
-
Would the URL have been sent to anyone for comment or any other reason?
As noted above – once a Page is published it is available if someone has the address –

Thank you! I didn’t think of that. I’d love to have people look at these pages, but unfortunately, they might not be approved. They were built just in case… :)
They were published so I could put them on the menu as submenus.

You be welcome
Did you know there is a Ask for Feedback feature? Without publishing something – you send them a link or email – works great and the article stays in the draft mode until you are finished and publish it – I use it on a regular basis

Sorry to double post, but auxclass asked,
Would the URL have been sent to anyone for comment or any other reason?
As noted above – once a Page is published it is available if someone has the address –
Yes. I know who looked at that page. Even though he got only the http://floundah2013.wordpress.com/ link, he is smart enough to do a search to see what else is on there, then come up with http://floundah2013.wordpress.com/our-history/the-shrine-on-bowdoin-street-from-1883-1958-chapter-ii/ .
Again, thank you.
