“possibly related posts” disappeared….

  I’ve done a search on both the FAQ and forum, and can find info only about how to remove them. I checked, and I do not have that box checked that hides them. I had them when I first started my blog, a couple of weeks or so ago. I can’t honestly say when I last noticed them, but I know I had them at first. Now I don’t.

  Any ideas on how I can get them back?

  Where are you looking for the check box? Click My Dashboard, then Design, then Extras. It should be there, on the second line (“Hide related links on this blog”).

  They don’t appear on all posts, is what Staff said in the beginning. Did they vanish from posts they’d previously been on?

  @viennesewaltz, the OP knows where the box is and has made sure it’s not checked.

  @jackandrupertsmom, that’s odd. Have you been using tags and categories?

  @rosclarke: probably, but not necessarily. Since the OP doesn’t specify exactly where they are looking I thought it might be helpful to tell them where it can be found.

  Thanks for all the replies.

  Now, this morning, I do have “related posts” under my new post. But, they’re aren’t any under any of my other posts, going back to the beginning, where I know there were some before.

  It’s not that big a deal I guess, but it’s curious, and I can’t figure it out, and that drives me crazy.

  Yes, I had found the box to check, under ‘Dashboard, Design, Extras. It is not checked.

  Raincoaster, are you saying that normally, “possibly related posts” only show up some of the time?

  Normally, they only show up some of the time. But as far as I’m aware, once they show up on a post, they’re always there unless you edit the post. It’s all quite new and we’re still learning how it works.

  It’s actually good news if possibly related posts don’t appear. If the software can’t make a good guess about what posts really are related to yours, it should not publish a bad guess to your blog.

  Well, thanks guys. I appreciate the help. I still see “possibly related” under my newest post. None under the others. I just started this, and there’s only 7 or 8 total posts. So, if they only show up some of the time normally, and, as Andrew says, it’s better if they don’t, then I guess I’m fine here.
