post a link to a specific category on a page

  sorry, it’s the newbie here. i can’t figure this out and i’ve searched the forums. is this possible?

  Sure, just get the category link from the Category widget on your sidebar instead of the one on the page. Then you can put it in the same as any link. I do that all the time, in part because search engines and Technorati count it as an external link to your site. It’s good for SEO, even if it’s a loophole.
