post a thumbnail that leads to a hi res image
-
I give up. For lack of a user manual (I know, so 20th century) I am unable to post a smaller version of an image that when you click on it you go to a page of the much larger hi res version.
When looking to write a post I see three methods of uploading images to a post, none of which are of course explained in any way, and none of these methods, in the ways I’ve tried using them at least, creates what I want. I am talking abt something as simple as what this fellow does
If someone can direct me to the hidden vault where image placement and such are explained I can take it from there.
thankyou

Have you tried doing a search of the forum and/or FAQ? I know the answer is out there because I answered this question just two days ago.

yes. well, it took me some days to figure out that using a domain I own with my blog is called “domain mapping.” Meaning; I have no idea what is the term for what I want to do. Thus, my interest in user manual. Something I can look through. I mean, someone(s) created this thing, it didn’t evole from a few bits of stray code, surely someone wrote something down?!
I did search for images, posting photos etc, and I got so many hits that I found nothing useful. I’ll try searching my whole question.

If you used your energies to read the faq (it’s not called manual, but it does, too) instead of making cheap irony you’d already found the solution. Try to have a look here: http://faq.wordpress.com/category/images/
BTW, when you upload an image and you don’t get a thumbnail option, it means that your picture is too big (the longest edge has to be < 2000px). It’s written here: http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/03/04/where-is-the-thumbnail/
There are *many* threads on this forum about this issue already, if you’d care about searching.
