Post, Add New, Insert from URL no image just link
Driving me bonkers, I’ve tried differnet URLs but nothing works like its supposed to.
In the guide pages, the image is meant to show up underneath and you can edit it but for me nothing happens so I click ‘insert into post’ and al I get is the link?

Hey there,
I just went and took a look at your site and I wasn’t able to replicate any problems. I was able to get an image to pull up (and display as an image) using the “insert from URL” feature.
Just in case, make sure that you’re using the Visual Editor when you’re inserting media instead of the Text Editor, otherwise it will be inserted as the “img src” link.
If you’re still having these issues, you might want to try using a different browser, as each browser behaves differently when interacting with the Visual editor.

Ahh seems to be working now, this wasn’t the first time its sort of frozen like this, so I’ll try agin tmrw and see what happens
Thanks for the help

maybe it was this, can you use instagram urls in word press?
This just won’t work http://instagram.com/p/YA-0QVFdMQ/

Hi there,
The reason that it isn’t pulling from Instagram is because the link that you’re entering in isn’t an image, it is a page. In order for that feature to work you have to put in a link to the actual image file.
In order to pull from Instagram, you would have to know the URL for the image file which is being displayed on that page. Sorry for the inconvenience!

yeah it’s just weird because I managed to do it before with this post

Not sure how?

Heya,
I’ve been doing some research and this is a trend which Instagram has been moving towards for several months now.
In December of last year, the exact same behavior started with photos which were attempted to be posted on Twitter (here’s an article reporting on this: http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/10/tech/social-media/twitter-instagram-photos).
So it would appear that Instagram is looking to keep the photos which you upload to their interface there.

Well, screw them then. For a work around, instagram saves the photo on my phone so I can still email the image to myself then upload as a media file and then place it in the blog
Thanks -
Fantastic! Sorry that the other way isn’t as much of a solution anymore. I hope that this works out for you.
Have a great weekend!
